our history

Our story begins with a joint acting training in Vienna, which brought us together in 2015. The challenging time of our studies bonded us together, as did our related artistic approaches, which complemented and enriched each other in various ways. Despite or precisely because of our differences in personalities, we work very well as a team, as very different perspectives sometimes collide, are negotiated, and discussed. During our training, we not only enjoyed the results of our collaboration, but also the interpersonal level, which was characterized by mutual respect, understanding, support and encouragement.

Our working and friendly relationship has remained intact to this day and has even intensified: we kept in touch across national borders and time zones and continued to exchange ideas. We achieved this through our now legendary weekly Zoom conferences. Because no matter whether in Vienna, London, Berlin or Istanbul: after our time together at drama school, the three of us were rarely in the same place. However, when we met, the encounters were even more intense. As close friends who unfortunately only see each other every now and then, our days at such get-togethers naturally consist not only of working on our projects, but above all, of intensive exchange on a personal level, laughing, crying and philosophizing together. Often when this happens new project ideas arise.

At one such meeting in fall 2020, we ended up filming our first self-written scene, which turned out to be a bit of a revelation for us. We enjoyed not only getting involved in a story as actresses, but also shaping our own story at all levels of production.

Through filming more and more scenes together, we found the courage to implement our stories more professionally, which ultimately culminated in the production of our first short film Questioning the Window.

Encouraged by the enriching collaboration on this experimental short film and by numerous ideas for future projects, we decided to give ourselves a name with the vulpecula collective and a face with the associated logo.
